Vendor Market: What to Expect

We’re excited to welcome local makers, growers, and small businesses to Cantona Homestead Beginnings. Please review the following details to decide if this market is right for you:

  • Market Date(s) and Time: Saturday March 28, 2026 9am-1pm

  • Booth Fee: $35/ vendor booth, sharing only permitted with child entrepreneur

  • Booth Setup: Vendors must bring their own 10x10 tent along with anchors or weights (required for safety).

  • Check-In Time: Vendor check-in begins at 8:00 AM.

  • Set-Up Complete: Booths must be fully set up and ready by 9:00 AM.

  • Event Hours: Vendors are expected to remain set up until 1:00 PM.

    • Early teardown is not permitted.

  • Child Entrepreneurs:

    • Children under 18 years of age may participate as vendors free of charge.

    • Adult vendors may share a booth with a child entrepreneur if desired.

  • Booth Space: Each vendor space accommodates one 10x10 tent unless otherwise approved.

  • Electricity: Electricity is not provided at this time.

  • Tables & Chairs: Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, and display materials.

  • Weather: This is an outdoor event and will take place rain or shine. Please plan accordingly.

  • Clean-Up: Vendors are responsible for keeping their area tidy and removing all items and trash at the end of the event.

By participating, vendors agree to follow event guidelines once their application is accepted to help create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable experience for all families attending.

Our First Event “Cantona Homestead Beginnings” will be on held on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 9am-1pm. We are currently taking applications for vendors for this special event. See details below.

Market Schedule

  • Vendors are allowed to drive to their assigned spot to set up. Vendor parking will be designated.

  • Vendors must be set up and ready to greet guests at 9am sharp

  • Vendors may start to break down, not before.

Directions to Cantona Homestead

We are located directly on FM 2978 (also known as Hufsmith–Kuykendahl Road) in Tomball, Texas.

Because this is a rural property, please watch for signage and drive slowly upon arrival.

From The Woodlands

  1. Take Woodlands Parkway West.

  2. Turn left onto FM 2978 (Hufsmith–Kuykendahl Rd).

  3. Continue south on FM 2978 for approximately 6–8 miles.

  4. Cantona Homestead will be on your right at 24706 FM 2978.

Estimated drive time: 15–20 minutes.

From Tomball (Downtown)

  1. Take Main Street / FM 2920 East.

  2. Turn left onto FM 2978 North.

  3. Continue approximately 3–5 miles.

  4. Cantona Homestead will be on your left at 24706 FM 2978.

Estimated drive time: 10–15 minutes.

From Spring

  1. Take Grand Parkway (TX-99) west toward Tomball.

  2. Exit at FM 2920.

  3. Turn right onto FM 2920 West.

  4. Turn right onto FM 2978 North.

  5. Continue approximately 3–5 miles.

  6. Cantona Homestead will be on your left.

Estimated drive time: 20–25 minutes.

From Conroe

  1. Take I-45 South toward The Woodlands.

  2. Exit onto Woodlands Parkway West.

  3. Turn left onto FM 2978 South.

  4. Continue south for approximately 6–8 miles.

  5. Cantona Homestead will be on your right.

Estimated drive time: 30–35 minutes.

From Montgomery

  1. Take TX-105 East toward Conroe.

  2. Merge onto I-45 South.

  3. Exit onto Woodlands Parkway West.

  4. Turn left onto FM 2978 South.

  5. Continue to 24706 FM 2978.

Estimated drive time: 35–45 minutes.

Parking & Arrival

  • Please drive slowly as children and animals may be present.

  • Follow posted event signage and parking attendants.

  • Additional signage will be placed near the entrance during large events.

  • No. Electricity is not provided at this time. Vendors should plan accordingly.

  • Water hookups are not provided for vendors. Food vendors must bring any required handwashing stations.

  • This is an outdoor event and will take place rain or shine. Vendors should be prepared for weather conditions.

  • No. Vendors may not tear down their booth before 1:00 PM, unless prior approval is given by event staff.

  • Vendor parking and load-in instructions will be provided prior to the event.

  • Vendor fees are non-refundable, as space is limited and planning costs are incurred in advance.

  • A vendor coordinator will be onsite. Contact details will be shared prior to the event.

  • All booth spaces will be outdoors regardless of the weather.

  • Vendors will be set up in an open grassy field. Spaces will be marked accordingly for each booth.

Food Booth Requirements

All food vendors participating in Cantona Homestead Beginnings must meet local and state health and safety requirements.

Required for All Food Vendors:

  • A valid Texas food permit or license appropriate to your business
    (Cottage Food Law vendors must comply with all Texas Cottage Food regulations)

  • Proof of food handler certification (if applicable)

  • Completion of our vendor application and approval prior to the event

  • Use of proper food safety practices, including gloves, utensils, and covered food

  • A handwashing station if preparing or handling food onsite (as required by law)

  • Booth must be kept clean, organized, and sanitary at all times

Additional Guidelines:

  • Food booths must provide their own 10x10 tent, tables, and weights

  • Electricity and water hookups are not provided

  • All food must be prepared, stored, and served in accordance with Texas health codes

  • Vendors may only sell items listed and approved in their application

  • Open flames, grills, or fryers must be approved in advance

Important Notes:

  • Food vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting sales tax, if applicable

  • Cantona Homestead reserves the right to deny or remove any vendor not meeting health or safety requirements

  • Failure to comply may result in removal without refund

For Cottage Food Vendors

Texas Cottage Food vendors may sell approved non-potentially hazardous foods, such as:

  • Baked goods (no cream fillings)

  • Candies, jams, jellies, granola, and similar shelf-stable items

All Cottage Food items must be:

  • Properly labeled per Texas law

  • Prepared in a home kitchen as permitted

  • Sold directly by the producer
